About Skateboarding
The first skaters rode down hills in Carlsbad, CA with clay wheels so that they would have an activity to do when the surf wan’t good. Many years later, the first skate park was made in Southern California. Shortly after, the skateboard boom was about to begin. Now there are 2,600 skateboarding parks in America. The popularity of skateboarding has taken off with the pros, like Tony Hawk, who have brought it to the main stream.
