About
The first skateboarders took big wooden boards into empty swimming pools to mimic the waves of surfing. The World’s first concrete skateboard park was made in California. Next the skateboard park boom was about to begin. There were a lot of skate parks that were built in the next dozen years. Now there are more than 2,600 skateboarding parks in America. Skateboarding has taken off with the pros, such as Rob Drydek and Shaun White, who have brought it to the main stream.
