About
The first skaters took big wooden boards into empty swimming pools to take their surfing to the streets. Not until the 1970’s, the first concrete skateboard park was made in Southern California. Next the skateboard building boom was about to begin. It was thousands of skate parks that were built in the next dozen years. Skateboarding has taken off with the pros, such as Rob Drydek and Shaun White, who have brought it to the main stream.
