About Skateboarding
The first skaters rode down hills in Carlsbad, CA with clay wheels so that they would have an activity to do when the surf wan’t good. Not until the 1970’s, the first skateboard park was made in Southern California. Next the skateboard building boom was about to begin. Today, there are 2,600 skate parks in America. Skateboarding has taken off with the pros, like Tony Hawk, who have brought it to the main stream.
