About
The first skateboarders rode down hills in Carlsbad, CA with clay wheels to mimic the waves of surfing. The first skateboard park was made in Southern California. Next the skateboard park boom was about to begin. It was thousands of skate parks that were built in the next years. Today, there are more than 2,600 skateparks in America. Skateboarding has taken off with the pros, such as Rob Drydek and Shaun White, who have brought it to the main stream.
