The first skaters rode down hills in Carlsbad, CA with clay wheels to take their surfing to the streets. The World’s first skateboard park was made in Southern California. Next the skateboard building boom was about to begin. Now there are more than 2,600 skateboarding parks in America. Skateboarding has taken off with the pros, like Tony Hawk, who have brought it to the main stream.
