About Skateboarding
Skateboarding is a great sport. The first skaters took big wooden boards into empty swimming pools to take their surfing to the streets. Not until the 1970’s, the first skatepark was made in California. Shortly after, the skateboard boom was about to begin. It was thousands of skateparks that were built in the next dozen years. Today, there are more than 2,600 skateparks in America. The popularity of skateboarding has taken off with the pros, such as Rob Drydek and Shaun White, who have brought it to the main stream.
