About
The first skateboarders rode down hills in Carlsbad, CA with clay wheels to take their surfing to the streets. Not until the 1970’s, the first skateboard park was made in Southern California. Shortly after, the skateboard boom was about to begin. There were a lot of skateparks that were built in the next dozen years. The popularity of skateboarding has taken off with the pros, such as Rob Drydek and Shaun White, who have brought it to the main stream.
