Skateboarding is a great sport. The first skateboarders took big wooden boards into empty swimming pools so that they would have an activity to do when the surf wan’t good. Many years later, the first skatepark was made in California. Shortly after, the skateboard boom was about to begin. Today, there are 2,600 skate parks in America. The popularity of skateboarding has taken off with the pros, such as Rob Drydek and Shaun White, who have brought it to the main stream.
