The first skateboarders took big wooden boards into empty swimming pools so that they would have an activity to do when the surf wan’t good. The World’s first skate park was made in Southern California. No one knew the skateboard boom was about to begin. Thousands skateparks that were built in the next dozen years. Today, there are more than 2,600 skateboarding parks in America. The popularity of skateboarding has taken off with the pros, such as Rob Drydek and Shaun White, who have brought it to the main stream.
Our Cost in Grinnell
Our pricing for private skateboard lessons is meant to be affordable. The private lessons are about the same price as a class so most of our students end up doing 1 on 1. The price of a single session can be as low as $46 if you purchase one of the larger packages.

We offer lessons for all levels and ages. We start with safety first, but the rest of the lesson is custom to your level and goals as a skateboarder. It is never too late to start. We have even taught a 78 year-old grandfather who wanted to skate with his grandchildren.
