We have even taught a 78 year-old grandfather who wanted to skate with his grandchildren. Skateboarding is an activity that everyone should learn. The first skateboarders took big wooden boards into empty swimming pools to mimic the waves of surfing. Not until the 1970’s, the first skateboard park was made in Southern California. Next the skateboard boom was about to begin. Skateboarding has taken off with the pros, like Tony Hawk, who have brought it to the main stream.
