About Skateboarding
The first skateboarders took big wooden boards into empty swimming pools so that they would have an activity to do when the surf wan’t good. Many years later, the first skatepark was made in Southern California. No one knew the skateboard building boom was about to begin. Many skate parks that were built in the next dozen years. Now there are more than 2,600 skate parks in America. Skateboarding has taken off with the pros, such as Rob Drydek and Shaun White, who have brought it to the main stream.
