Curriculum
Who We Teach in Irmo
We offer lessons for all levels and for ages 4 and up. We start with safety first, but the rest of the lesson is custom to your level and goals as a skateboarder. It is never too late to start. We have even taught a 78 year-old grandfather who wanted to skate with his grandchildren. You can start skateboarding at any age. One of our instructors taught Shaun White how to skateboard when he was just 7 years old.
About
Skateboarding is a great sport. The first skaters rode down hills in Carlsbad, CA with clay wheels to take their surfing to the streets. The World’s first concrete skateboard park was made in Southern California. Shortly after, the skateboard boom was about to begin. There were a lot of skate parks that were built in the next twenty years. Today, there are more than 2,600 skateparks in America. The popularity of skateboarding has taken off with the pros, , who have brought it to the main stream.
