About
Skateboarding is a great sport. The first skateboarders took big wooden boards into empty swimming pools to take their surfing to the streets. Many years later, the first skate park was made in Southern California. Next the skateboard boom was about to begin. It was thousands of skateparks that were built in the next years. Today, there are more than 2,600 skate parks in America. Skateboarding has taken off with the pros, like Tony Hawk, who have brought it to the main stream.
