The first skateboard park was made in Southern California. Shortly after, the skateboard boom was about to begin. Many skate parks that were built in the next few years. Today, there are 2,600 skateboarding parks in America. Skateboarding has taken off with the pros, like Tony Hawk, who have brought it to the main stream.
