Not until the 1970’s, the first skatepark was made in California. No one knew the skateboard boom was about to begin. Thousands skate parks that were built in the next years. Today, there are 2,600 skateboarding parks in America. The popularity of skateboarding has taken off with the pros, like Tony Hawk, who have brought it to the main stream.
