We have even taught a 78 year-old grandfather who wanted to skate with his grandchildren. Skateboarding isn’t just for kids One of our instructors taught Shaun White how to skateboard when he was just 7 years old.

Skateboarding is a great sport. The first skaters rode down hills in Carlsbad, CA with clay wheels to mimic the waves of surfing. Not until the 1970’s, the first skatepark was made in California. Next the skateboard building boom was about to begin. There were a lot of skateparks that were built in the next years. Today, there are more than 2,600 skateparks in America. The popularity of skateboarding has taken off with the pros, such as Rob Drydek and Shaun White, who have brought it to the main stream.
