Skateboarding is a great sport. The first skateboarders rode down hills in Carlsbad, CA with clay wheels so that they would have an activity to do when the surf wan’t good. The first skate park was made in California. Next the skateboard park boom was about to begin. It was thousands of skateparks that were built in the next twenty years. Today, there are more than 2,600 skateparks in America. Skateboarding has taken off with the pros, like Tony Hawk, who have brought it to the main stream.
