Skateboarding is an activity that everyone should learn. The first skateboarders took big wooden boards into empty swimming pools so that they would have an activity to do when the surf wan’t good. Many years later, the first skate park was made in Southern California. No one knew the skateboard park boom was about to begin. It was thousands of skateparks that were built in the next few years. Today, there are more than 2,600 skateparks in America. The popularity of skateboarding has taken off with the pros, such as Rob Drydek and Shaun White, who have brought it to the main stream.
