Many years later, the first skatepark was made in Southern California. No one knew the skateboard boom was about to begin. It was thousands of skate parks that were built in the next dozen years. Skateboarding has taken off with the pros, such as Rob Drydek and Shaun White, who have brought it to the main stream.
