Skateboarding is a great sport. The first skateboarders took big wooden boards into empty swimming pools so that they would have an activity to do when the surf wan’t good. The World’s first skate park was made in California. Shortly after, the skateboard building boom was about to begin. It was thousands of skate parks that were built in the next years. Today, there are more than 2,600 skateparks in America. The popularity of skateboarding has taken off with the pros, such as Rob Drydek and Shaun White, who have brought it to the main stream.
