About Skateboarding
Skateboarding is an activity that everyone should learn. The first skateboarders took big wooden boards into empty swimming pools to mimic the waves of surfing. The first skate park was made in Southern California. No one knew the skateboard building boom was about to begin. Today, there are more than 2,600 skateboarding parks in America. The popularity of skateboarding has taken off with the pros, such as Rob Drydek and Shaun White, who have brought it to the main stream.
