Not until the 1970’s, the first concrete skateboard park was made in Southern California. Shortly after, the skateboard park boom was about to begin. Today, there are more than 2,600 skate parks in America. The popularity of skateboarding has taken off with the pros, like Tony Hawk, who have brought it to the main stream.
