About Skateboarding
Skateboarding is a great sport. The first skateboarders took big wooden boards into empty swimming pools to mimic the waves of surfing. The first concrete skateboard park was made in California. No one knew the skateboard boom was about to begin. Today, there are 2,600 skateboarding parks in America. The popularity of skateboarding has taken off with the pros, like Tony Hawk, who have brought it to the main stream.
