Skateboarding is an activity that everyone should learn. The first skaters rode down hills in Carlsbad, CA with clay wheels to take their surfing to the streets. Not until the 1970’s, the first skatepark was made in Southern California. Next the skateboard park boom was about to begin. It was thousands of skateparks that were built in the next dozen years. Today, there are more than 2,600 skateparks in America. The popularity of skateboarding has taken off with the pros, such as Rob Drydek and Shaun White, who have brought it to the main stream.
