Skateboarding is a great sport. The first skateboarders rode down hills in Carlsbad, CA with clay wheels to mimic the waves of surfing. Many years later, the first concrete skateboard park was made in Southern California. No one knew the skateboard building boom was about to begin. Many skate parks that were built in the next dozen years. Now there are 2,600 skateboarding parks in America. Skateboarding has taken off with the pros, such as Rob Drydek and Shaun White, who have brought it to the main stream.
