About Skateboarding
The first skateboarders rode down hills in Carlsbad, CA with clay wheels so that they would have an activity to do when the surf wan’t good. The first skateboard park was made in California. Shortly after, the skateboard boom was about to begin. Today, there are more than 2,600 skateparks in America. The popularity of skateboarding has taken off with the pros, like Tony Hawk, who have brought it to the main stream.
