About Skateboarding
The first skateboarders rode down hills in Carlsbad, CA with clay wheels to take their surfing to the streets. Not until the 1970’s, the first skatepark was made in Southern California. No one knew the skateboard park boom was about to begin. Many skate parks that were built in the next twenty years. Today, there are more than 2,600 skateparks in America. Skateboarding has taken off with the pros, like Tony Hawk, who have brought it to the main stream.
