About
The first skaters took big wooden boards into empty swimming pools to mimic the waves of surfing. The World’s first skate park was made in California. Shortly after, the skateboard building boom was about to begin. Many skateparks that were built in the next years. Now there are more than 2,600 skateparks in America. Skateboarding has taken off with the pros, like Tony Hawk, who have brought it to the main stream.
