About Skateboarding
Skateboarding is an activity that everyone should learn. The first skaters rode down hills in Carlsbad, CA with clay wheels so that they would have an activity to do when the surf wan’t good. The first concrete skateboard park was made in Southern California. No one knew the skateboard boom was about to begin. Now there are more than 2,600 skateparks in America. The popularity of skateboarding has taken off with the pros, such as Rob Drydek and Shaun White, who have brought it to the main stream.
