The first skateboarders took big wooden boards into empty swimming pools so that they would have an activity to do when the surf wan’t good. The World’s first skatepark was made in Southern California. No one knew the skateboard boom was about to begin. Many skate parks that were built in the next few years. Today, there are more than 2,600 skate parks in America. Skateboarding has taken off with the pros, such as Rob Drydek and Shaun White, who have brought it to the main stream.

We have taught a 78 year-old grand father who wanted to skate with his grandchildren. It is never too late to start.
