Many years later, the first skate park was made in California. Shortly after, the skateboard building boom was about to begin. Thousands skate parks that were built in the next few years. Now there are more than 2,600 skate parks in America. Skateboarding has taken off with the pros, like Tony Hawk, who have brought it to the main stream.
