About Skateboarding
Skateboarding is a great sport. The first skateboarders took big wooden boards into empty swimming pools to mimic the waves of surfing. The World’s first skatepark was made in Southern California. No one knew the skateboard building boom was about to begin. There were a lot of skate parks that were built in the next few years. Now there are 2,600 skate parks in America. The popularity of skateboarding has taken off with the pros, like Tony Hawk, who have brought it to the main stream.
