About Skateboarding
The first skaters rode down hills in Carlsbad, CA with clay wheels to mimic the waves of surfing. The first skatepark was made in California. Shortly after, the skateboard park boom was about to begin. Many skateparks that were built in the next few years. Now there are more than 2,600 skateparks in America. Skateboarding has taken off with the pros, such as Rob Drydek and Shaun White, who have brought it to the main stream.
